After almost a year of hard labor, my husband and I have moved into our new playhouse. Downstairs is his woodworking shop, upstairs is my new design studio. While we love our new spaces, it has yet to be determined how smart (or not) we were to build it ourselves and not hire the entire thing out. Maybe it is true...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. We're still alive but, pretty darned exhausted. Fortunately, we still have energy to play! Here's a view of my studio....
This space is one of two set aside for sewing. This one is dedicated to my art quilts, pattern drafting/design and other artistic endeavors. The other one is in the house, where the machine embroidery and garment construction takes place. I'll also use the big table in this studio for cutting out larger pieces of fabric...duh.
So, there you have it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go play!
